Library Policies

book readerCheck Out:

The number of books a child may check out is determined by grade level, as well as the needs of the students.  The higher the grade level, the more books the child may have checked out at any one given time.  However, the library is open every day and students may check in and out more than once a week.

Lost or Damaged Book Policy

If a book is damaged beyond repair, the parent is asked to pay for the book so that it may be replaced.

In the case of a lost book, parents are asked to sign a form that states a willingness to pay for the book if it is not found by the end of the year.  Please do not try to pay in advance as most books are usually found before the end of the year.

Overdue Books:

There are no overdue book fines, but please encourage your children to keep books in safe places so they can find their way back to the library.

Technology and Research Class:

Third, Fourth and Fifth Grade students have a new opportunity this year. Mrs. Cope's technology and research class will focus on students researching and presenting concepts from their science and social studies curriculum. Be on the lookout for lots of choices both in topic and product.

In the Research Center, it is important that students follow the school rules so that every child can get the best experience.
