Homework Information...
Please be sure to check and initial your child's agenda each night as the students will have the daily responsibility of writing their specific assignments each morning before the day starts.
In third grade, students will have Math, Reading, and Spelling homework every night except Fridays.
**Mathematics homework will consist of specific skills on IXL for 15 minutes nightly. Students will write the specific skill in their assignment pads each morning. If your child finishes the assigned skill, then they should choose a review skill to work on until the time requirement is complete.
**Reading homework will include independent reading either in an assigned book or a student selected book depending on the night. The nightly time requirement is 15 minutes.
**Spelling homework will be glued into their Language Arts notebook at the beginning of the week. Each quarter, the spelling assignments will change.
**There may be a bit of science or social studies homework, but it will not be assigned each night.
***Math and Reading bi-weekly grades will be calculated based on completion of the log and the assigned time.
