About
Our school counseling program promotes social/emotional, academic, and career development. The components of our program include individual and small group counseling, bi-weekly classroom guidance lessons, behavioral support, and school-wide character development and anti-bullying initiatives.
As a Professional School Counselor, I help students to:
- Understand abilities and limitations
- Develop self-understanding and self-awareness
- Build self-confidence and self-esteem
- Adjust to school and changes in their lives
- Find answers to his/her concerns
- Learn to make decisions
- Develop skills in getting along with others
- Achieve more in school
- Become aware of the world of work
- Find opportunities to feel successful
- Talk about educational, personal, or social concerns
I Believe:
- Children have dignity and worth as human beings.
- Children learn best when they feel good about themselves and their relationship with others.
- Children are capable of making responsible choices.
- Attitudes formed during elementary school shape future attitudes toward learning, self, and society.
