School Counselor

About

Our school counseling program promotes social/emotional, academic, and career development. The components of our program include individual and small group counseling, bi-weekly classroom guidance lessons, behavioral support, and school-wide character development and anti-bullying initiatives.

As a Professional School Counselor, I help students to:

  • Understand abilities and limitations
  • Develop self-understanding and self-awareness
  • Build self-confidence and self-esteem
  • Adjust to school and changes in their lives
  • Find answers to his/her concerns
  • Learn to make decisions
  • Develop skills in getting along with others
  • Achieve more in school
  • Become aware of the world of work
  • Find opportunities to feel successful
  • Talk about educational, personal, or social concerns

I Believe:

  • Children have dignity and worth as human beings.
  • Children learn best when they feel good about themselves and their relationship with others.
  • Children are capable of making responsible choices.
  • Attitudes formed during elementary school shape future attitudes toward learning, self, and society.
